I just wanted to thank the fabulous Kati Penn and her band for coming through town on their way back to Lexington, Kentucky. They really put on an amazing show this past Sunday, and the entire band were so friendly and gracious. I can't thank them enough!
Kati, Robin and the boys were all so impressed with the Strasburg Theater, and can't wait to come back and do it all over again. I think they may have even picked up another gig from one of the appreciative bluegrass fans in the audience.
We only have a few more shows to go, people, so let's try and go out with a bang. First up is a high energy group out of Asheville, North Carolina called "Town Mountain". My man 'Ferd' from the Hackensaw Boys went on and on about this group, and it's nice to see that they're sharing gigs and hooking up shows together.
If you'd like to be one of the first to see Town Mountain while they're on their way to the top, then this is your chance -get on out here on Sunday afternoon. And take advantage of the 'all you can eat' buffet while you're at it!
Here's the remaining schedule for Bluegrass Sundays:
Sunday, May 4th Town Mountain
Hailing from Ashville, NC-the fertile picking scene of Western NC. ‘Town Mountain’ features great originals and tight vocal harmonies, combined with a charismatic stage presence. Wait’ll you get a load of these guys! www.townmountain.net
