Hey all,
We have a huge show for you this week, so lets get right to it! I have had a ton a material to sort thru recently, so I apologize ahead of time if your show didn't make it up this week, but I only have so much storage space to work with. We start out with an electrifying couple of sets from our friends J Factor. I really want you to try to give this listen as for those of you that have not seen this band yet, you are really missing out on a good time. Also, if you hang in there, you will hear guitarist James Seeley light up the stage with a killer rendition of EVH's signature Eruption! Note for Note! You gotta hear it! I'm telling you, these guys are good. They will be back at the theater on May 3 and you should really try to make it out to see them.
After that, we have the return of Last Chance to our fine stage. It's been a while since they were here, but they came back a avengence. A local supergroup of sorts, Last Chance will sure to satisfy your more recent rock craving. Rick and the boys were on fire this night. We will be welcoming Last Chance back on May 24 and I can't think of a better way to kick off your Memorial Day weekend.
Following Last Chance is a set from a new to us band that showed up at open mic last week that everyone is just raving about. They are called Revolution. I do not know much about them other than they are from Front Royal. I know Steve was impressed as he booked them to play on June 7. Give a listen, then come on out and help us welcome them to our fine venue.
Now for the really big news! On April 4, right here at The Strasburg Theater, our friends No Drama, will be holding a CD release party for their new CD Friends Around, and they were kind enough to advance me a copy for your listening pleasure. I have heard it and let me tell you this is a wonderful collection of music. It just flows beautifully from the first track Friends Around to the last track Paloma. We will be playing this CD every night at 8:00 from now up until the night of it's release. So sit back, grab your favorite beverage, give it a listen, then come on out April 4 and grab your own copy.
But wait! It doesn't stop there! Following that, is a CD by a new guitar sensation who was at the theater last week Eli Cook. "Wow", was all everyone that was there could say. Well versed in the vain of Stevie Ray, Kenny Wayne Sheppard and Jonny Lang, with a touch of The Allman Brothers and Zakk Wylde, Eli can play! We will be bringing him back, don't miss him this time.
I'm sorry if tis email seems long, but I had a lot to say.
...till next time
keep rocking the valley
and support your local musicians and venues
